If "He" is so magnificent and so on, I must amount to less than a speck. On the other hand, I am God to me, no one matters more at the first than me because we die alone. Now that said, it doesn't mean I am malevolent, just aware that this is probably my one time around so I try not to waste it, treat everyone else as if it's their only trip too and hope I don't get hit by a truck. Other than that? I expect "Him" to make up for my lack of understanding him since "He" appears to want it that way. If not? Oh well. -

The Kingdom Message
by truth doubter inregarding the unique preaching of the kingdom by wt (new creation, heavenly kings, priests and judges, restoration of paradise on earth etc.).
the scriptures seem to back up wts interpretation.
so, although there are a million reasons to become inactive, how can our conscience allow us not to become active in the work described at matt.

After I spent pioneering 9 years everything I taught was changed and is now considered apostate teachings. Preaching their kingdom is like stacking BB's. Get a life. -

Faded means you give them power when you meet with him. He will have another elder on hand just in case you confess, trust me. Don't do it. Have something come up and miss the meeting. You know how it works, don't be in denial thinking they really have your interests in mind. Its all about "misery loves company!" DO NOT GO! Just say no!

Tell them to piss off! They won't appreciate it. It won't wake them up to the cult. They will only use you and then place you back in the trash bin they dug through for loose change. Sorry, I have no pity for them. Of course you could be the better person and help them but know that they WILL ONLY COME BACK FOR MORE. Don't think you can buy your family's loyalty or their genuine concern with money. If an 8 month old grandchild can't awaken their "Natural affection" money wont. -

It is amazing how we love those who gave birth to us, changed our diapers and sang songs to us as babies despite the way they turned on us later. Its in our DNA to love them I think. That's why the rejection from them hurts. I think perhaps you are trying to put your own feelings in order, reconciling how someone you love inherently could reject you so cruelly. If that is the case, stop, get a mirror and look at yourself. See the person that you are and how your children love you. I think your father proves the scripture where it says they "Have no natural affection". If you can come to terms with the fact you are lovable and worthy I would not give him the chance to look away from you on his death bed. A brief note saying you forgive him and wish him a painless death should suffice. You wouldn't expect him to ruin his track record of loyalty to the Governing Body by seeing you. Goodbye dad. -

Prayer is a BIG thing. If you tell them that you have felt Jehovah answering your prayers, quote a miracle or two ie: I needed gas money and someone gave it to you or I was able to get off for the CA when they NEVER let you off, the Elders may think, hmmmm this is a good sign. Just the fact that you have "Freeness of speech" with the big Jah is a biggee.
As far as recording a JC? Usually when a letter has been considered there is no meeting with the individual unless they are considered for reinstatement. They would all three read it and informally consider it and one of the committee would simply tell you if you were not ready at this time and a few suggestions on what you need to further do to prove you have been demoralized enough are given. If you were to be reinstated they would meet with you and it would all be happiness and perhaps a statement of restrictions that might remain for a time.

After 17 years they must be convinced you are not returning. The fact that YOU have not begun to teach your baby the JW garbage should be evidence enough of that. I can't see it being problematic to stress to her that YOU will teach her about Jehovah and not her grandmother or anyone else. Tell her honestly you don't approve of those hokey videos and not to show them to her. Keep it honest. Welcome by the way! -

Conan, I understand how you would be attracted to the JW's. I believe there is more empathy for a person in your situation than for most people they study with. Let's face it, it takes a lot to live with limitations and its the ultimate situation to express christian, unselfish love. To have a support group is SO important when there is a real need. Challenged or not we need friends. I would propose that there are other groups that are more honestly and consistently supportive to engage with. I have a relative with a birth defect who has most of her support from others with similar issues. She has associated with the JW's her whole life but never been baptized. They do help her for awhile but then tire of it in time because she's NOT one them. I suggest you keep looking for God elsewhere and if he is real he will help you out. I assume you get some form of assistance from the Gov. perhaps you have support groups provided by them as well? Good luck Conan, you express yourself very well. Thanks for posting. -

Animals were created without needing Toilet Paper ... but not Man ... Why???
by RubaDub inmy dog and other pets do their "business" and run away and are happy.. man does not have that luxury.
any thoughts on why animals were created with the "poop and go" capacity while man has to go through more steps?
was this perhaps an additional issue that god added on when adam and eve sinned (such as eve having significant more birth pains)?

This is the only correct answer. Humans do "prolapse" our anuses when straining to poop (it's how/why some people develop hemorrhoids and why you are told not to a strain if you are prone to them). Plenty of animals have poor diets that lead to occasional diarrhea and constipation, especially wild animals in scarcity conditions or strays in urban environments. (Household pets at the mercy of their owners, too.) And anybody who has been camping knows that squatting may be more comfortable and let you poop easier, but it doesn't negate the need to wipe.
All mammals have buttholes. Humans are among the rare mammals who have butts, too. And our butts don't allow for, um, exposure and ventilation.
If you stick a wad of gum on a napkin and leave it that way while you are eating, you'll be able to pick it off cleanly. If you squash the gum between two halves of a folded napkin, it'll be spread around and get stuck and it will be much harder to clean. Same principle, except add bacteria and waste to the equation.
